On January 26,
2007, the Walt Disney World resort gave more details on their newest Disney
Vacation Club resort and also made several announcements of what is next on
the Vacation Kingdom’s horizon. Among the announcements were a new
interactive 3-D ride for Disney –MGM Studios, a new promotional campaign and
a new type of concierge service.
Toy Story Mania
"Toy Story Mania - An interactive new ride coming to Disney-MGM Studios at
Walt Disney World and Disney's California Adventure at Disneyland. Guests
will immerse themselves in the world of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 when they
don 3D Glasses and are shrunk to the size of a toy and sent thru a midway
themed route. At each game booth, they will aim their "toy cannon" at
animated targets while they encounter Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Hamm, Bo Peep
and the Little Green Men." -JohnY

Annie Leibovitz Promotional Photos
Annie made an appearance at the event and was commissioned by Disney to put
famous folks into classic Disney scenes. The result was simply
breathtaking... some amazing photography that will no doubt fill the desktop
background on computers of Disney fans worldwide if they can get their hands
on them!
1) Scarlet Johansson - is Cinderella and is seen running down a flight of
stairs as the clock stikes midnight. She has on a one of a kind Harry
Winston tiara that includes 62 carats of sparkling diamonds and is valued at
$325,000 along with a Nicoletta Santoro gown.
2) David Beckham - is Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty, slaying an evil
dragon.
3) Beyonce - appears as "Alice in Wonderland" twirling in a teacup with Lyle
Lovett as March Hare and Oliver Platt as the Mad Hatter.

Disney’s Online Concierge
"I saw Disney's Online Concierge demoed which is an interactive computer
that is currently in testing at the Contemporary Resort... it allows you to
customize a day planner, make reservations, receive messages, make tee

Cinderella Castle Suite
"It is pretty awesome and I feel very privileged to have been able to see
and photograph it today. It's not huge... space is at a premium in the
castle... but it is definitely luxurious and very special. Certainly it will
make for a night that you will never forget. From the stars in the ceiling
of the soaking tub, to the picture of Cinderella over the fireplace that
doubles as a plasma tv, to the beds fit for a royal family, to the fireplace
that shoots sparks of "light fireworks" in the shape of a Mickey head (yes,
that is the one and only hidden Mickey in the suite according to today’s
tour) and the marble and tile everywhere, it's hard not to call it awesome.
I was impressed.
Guides still wouldn't say what would happen to the suite after the year of a
million dreams - but they spent way too much money on this for it to go
away. I would venture to say it will be around for quite some time." --
