Q: What is the INTERCOT 10th Anniversary Celebration?

We're glad you asked! The 10th Anniversary Celebration is a wonderful opportunity to meet other Disney fans and INTERCOT members and staff from all over the world. Participants will be gathering at the Walt Disney World Resort for a weekend of fun in the sun, as well as special events, meals, and most of all magic. What better way is there to meet and spend time with your INTERCOT friends than in the place that brought us all together in the first place?
 

Q: When is the INTERCOT 10th Anniversary Celebration?

The Celebration will take place the weekend of October 12th through October 14, 2007. Can't be there for the entire weekend? That's fine! Why not make a quick trip down, or if you live in the area, stop by for a day and participate in some of the fun! You can be assured that there will be something fun and exciting happening every day. With the wacky INTERCOT crowd, who knows what could happen?


Q: A Portion of my trip overlaps with the INTERCOT 10th Anniversary Celebration. Is it a problem if I only attend one or two events?

We'd love to have you for however long you're available! Attendance at INTERCOT sponsored events is not mandatory. However, we'd love to have you for whatever events you can attend. The more the merrier!


Q: How do I plan my trip?

Many wonderful INTERCOT sponsors are on hand to help you plan your getaway to The INTERCOT 10th Anniversary Celebration. INTERCOT has chosen our sponsors, Magical Journeys, All Star Vacation Homes and The Radisson Resort Celebration as the official travel partners for this event. If you are in need of theme park tickets, please visit The Official Ticket Center for a variety of Walt Disney World ticket options, all at a great discount!


Q: Where should I stay?

Well… anywhere! Participants will be staying at hotels all across the Walt Disney World Resort, including hotels outside of Walt Disney World. Choose the one that best fits your needs and budget. Because the events are mostly centered in the parks and not the resorts, it doesn't matter whether you opt to stay deluxe or value, on-site or off. Q: How much will it cost?

The best part about The INTERCOT 10th Anniversary Celebration is that YOU decide this. You know your budget best and should be the one to decide how much you want to spend. While there will be some events that have a cost associated with them, there will also be lots to do that is absolutely free! We want all members of the INTERCOT family to be able to participate equally, which is why we've placed the flexibility in your hands. We care about all our members and can't wait to meet everyone in October! Please remember the majority of events will take place in a theme park, requiring theme park admission. Discount park passes are available via INTERCOT sponsor, The Official Ticket Center.

Q: What events are planned for the meet?

Q: When I arrive for an event, how will I recognize my fellow INTERCOTees?

Each event will be hosted by a group of INTERCOT Moderators who will be wearing a shirt, hat or pin with the INTERCOT logo. This crazy group will surely be easy to spot! Also, many members have INTERCOT apparel... which leads us nicely into our next question.


Q: I Want INTERCOT apparel for the event. Where can I purchase this apparel before arriving at the INTERCOT 10th Anniversary Celebration?

There is a full line of INTERCOT specific apparel and souvenirs available through the INTERCOT store. To feel at home with fellow INTERCOTees, or to set yourself apart from the crowd at Walt Disney World, just visit The INTERCOT Shop and order away! Be sure to check out the classic INTERCOT t-shirts, available in a variety of color combinations and sizes.


Q: I noticed the It's A Small World Ride-Thru is called "Revenge of the Dolls." What does this mean?

"The Dolls" refers to a thread on INTERCOT that has obtained a rare cult status. Simply do a search in The Water Cooler for "Dolls" and you'll find out all you'll need to know!


Q: I am unable to attend the event. Is the Website doing anything special to mark the occasion?

Of course! A long-standing tradition at INTERCOT is that you don't have to be in the World to enjoy a little of its magic! Several INTERCOT members are already planning "Virtual Meets" in The Water Cooler to coincide with specific Gathering events . This allows those who were unable to attend the event in person an opportunity to still take part in the festivities. Be sure to check the schedule and visit The Water Cooler for each event's virtual counterpart for some chatting, jokes, and Disney fun!
