Extra Magic Hours, Operating and Event schedules for October 2010. For
guests visiting during this time, you will want to visit the

Opening Date Announced for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ride
Details Emerge
 Universal
Orlando Resort has unveiled the official grand opening date for the
Wizarding World of Harry Potter - June 18, 2010. At the same time, details
and pictures have been presented to the media which give interesting insight
into what will surely be one of the hottest tickets in town, and one of the
most technologically advanced rides that Orlando has seen. There's
speculation the attraction will use "robo-coaster" technology as seen in our
2004 Hilights from the IAAPA Convention below (see the first 2 pictures on
that page)...

Art Adorns Epcot monorail train
 Art
from the upcoming Disney film "TRON: Legacy" adorns one of the trains on the
Epcot monorail line in a photo taken on its first day of operation, March
19, 2010. "TRON: Legacy" is a 3D, high-tech adventure film scheduled to
debut in theaters Dec. 17, 2010.

Half Marathon Weekend Returns
 Disney’s
Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by Lady Footlocker returns to Walt
Disney World Resort this weekend, March 5-7, 2010.Now in its second year,
the event includes the Disney’s Fit for a Princess Health and Fitness Expo
plus a series of race opportunities – Disney’s Royal Family Kids’ Races, the
Royal Family 5K and the 13.1-mile half marathon. The signature event takes
runners on a course through multiple Walt Disney World theme parks, each
themed around Disney’s beloved princess characters.
