May Park Hours, Events & E-Nights Announced
Disney has released hours and events information for the month of May and we
have updated our park
hours & events pages
in Info Central to reflect the changes. E Ticket Nights appear to be back
in full force with no less than 8 evenings of fun scheduled.
E-Ride Nights are an
exclusive "private party" in the Magic Kingdom for a limited number of Walt
Disney World Resort Guests.

Primeval
Whirl Premieres
Walt Disney World's newest attraction, Primeval Whirl is up and running at
Animal Kingdom. The attraction will had a "soft" opening this past Sunday.
The official opening date is March 31st. The Whirl is a colorful dual track
roller coaster, an updated version of the "Wild Mouse" rides of years past.
Guests ride in four passenger vehicles.

Spaceship Earth Tragedy
Our spies report that when Spaceship Earth in Epcot was closed recently for
a one day refurb, Disney installed video monitors in the initial assent
tunnel explaining the ride. Problem is, in the process, they disturbed the
intro of the "show" transforming it from a dark and mysterious opening that
seemingly transported you back in time to an area bathed in the light of
cheesy television monitors.

Davy
Jones Kicks Off 17 Act Lineup For Flower Power Concert Series
Flower Power will bloom bigger than ever -- with hit music from four decades
-- during the 2002 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, April 19
through June 2 at Walt Disney World Resort. Davy Jones of The Monkees leads
off a lineup of 17 musical acts that will perform daily during the festival.

River Cruise
Returning?
Our
own WDWDriver reports the popular Sassagoula River Cruise will return within
the next three weeks, most likely on March 24th. The River Cruise boats that
ferried guests between Port Orleans and Downtown Disney Marketplace were
taken out of service back in November as part of the cutbacks taking place
at that time.

Walt Disney World Hosts Series Of Pin Trading Events
2002 will be the biggest, boldest year yet for pin trading at Walt Disney
World Resort with seven, specially themed pin events planned throughout the
calendar and across the Vacation Kingdom.
