Mickey's PhilharMagic to Open in 2003
According to Disney sources, the Lion King show in the Magic Kingdom
will close on unknown date in February 2002 to be replaced by the new
Mickey's PhilHarmagic attraction scheduled to open in 2003. Disney
magic meets Disney music in this new 3~D film based spectacular
starring Mickey Mouse. Donald Duck and other favorite Disney
characters. "We're really excited about this new attraction;' said A1
Weiss, president of Walt Disney World Resort, "Guests love the Disney
characters and films, and this gives them the chance to take a magical
ride right into the world of Disney animation."

E-Ride Nights
Coming in February
Disney has announced E-Nights for February 19 & 22 from 8-11pm each night.
E-Ride Nights are an exclusive "private party" in the Magic Kingdom for a
limited number of Walt Disney World Resort Guests.

E-Ride
Nights For March 2002!
MAGIC KINGDOM "E-Ride Nights" for the month of March have been released and
are scheduled as follows:
March 11 -
9pm-12am, March 14 - 7-10pm, March 18 - 8-11pm and March 21 - 7-10pm.

Creates Wireless Magic
Disney World is using wireless technology to provide captioning and
translation services so more people can feel a part of what is, after all, a
small world. Entertainment giant Walt Disney said Monday that
hearing-impaired visitors can use specially provided Compaq iPaqs to read
text versions of, for example, the conversation between Winnie the Pooh and
Tigger during the "Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" ride in its Magic
Kingdom.

Shades Of Green Resort To Expand
At
a time when many resort hotels at Walt Disney World are in retreat, the one
reserved exclusively for the military is charging ahead with expansion
plans. The U.S. Army is planning to double the size of Shades of Green, its
287-room hotel at Walt Disney World, in a $50 million expansion project that
may start as soon as April.
