<<Festival Sampling with Christine >>

I just returned for my annual Food and Wine Festival trip to Walt Disney World, accompanied by my mother and sister. We spent multiple days in World Showcase so as to try as many offerings as possible. In the end, we tried food at the majority of stations, splitting between my Mom, my sister and myself. Personal food favorites were grilled lamb chop and shrimp dishes at Australia, Feijoada (black bean stew cooked with pork) at Brazil, Black Pepper Shrimp at China, fondue at the Cheese kiosk, Golabki (pork stuffed cabbage) at Poland, Shrimp cake in Singapore, Lamb Slider in New Zealand, Steamed Mussels in Garlic Cream Sauce at Belgium, and Coq Au Vin at France. In regards to our wine favorites, we enjoyed the Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc at the Cheese kiosk, the Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc at New Zealand and the Moet and Chandon Rose Imperial at the Champagne and Dessert kiosk; though I wish they could find a way to keep the champagne chilled better. The champagne at the permanent wine kiosk in France does not have this issue.

Some say they saw more people who over indulged in alcoholic beverages. I can honestly say I did not see any of this behavior. Of course, people were drinking; it is after all a Wine festival. In my experience, though, no one exhibited overly drunken behavior, regardless of the time of day we were in World Showcase.
