The The Timekeeper Closed Permanently -
After being stuck in *Seasonal* limbo, since April 29, 2001, the Timekeeper
is closed for good on February 26, 2006. The current character Meet & Greets
held in the Timekeeper lobby was relocated elsewhere in Tomorrowland. Walt
Disney Imagineering is currently developing a new attraction for this
location.
"I always enjoyed Timekeeper, even though you had to stand. I think
Circlevision 360 is a cool concept and now there are only the two left at
Epcot. I wish I had gotten to do it one more time." – LarryBoy
"As much as it is going to be hard to let it go, at least this closing will
hopefully bring some life back to Tomorrowland, which was plauged with TWO
"seasonal" attractions, which was 2 too many." – master_gracey
"I used to love Timekeeper, it really was a hidden gem of MK for my family.
Robin Williams was brilliant and I loved how the robot looked so much like
him facially. It's a shame they couldn't have just given it a makeover." –

- Two New Restaurants Coming to Disney World -
There are two new restaurants on the dining horizon for the Walt Disney
World Resort. In summer 2007, an Asian restaurant will debut in Animal
Kingdom's Asia, at the current site of the Chakranadi Chicken Shop. The
eatery will offer both full service table dining and quick service food. In
early 2008, T-Rex: A Prehistoric Family Adventure, will open in Downtown
Disney Marketplace. This restaurant will feature life-sized animatronic
dinosaurs, a dig site, waterfalls, geysers, a retail shop and much more.
Both establishments will be operated by the Rainforest Cafe's Landry's
Restaurants, one of the largest casual dining and entertainment companies in
the nation.
"Both restaurants sound great! I am looking forward to another dining option
in AK." – goofy for Pluto
"How cool for the families with little boys." – aldebkate
"The Asia restaurant sounds great. I think that it will do really well in AK
since there is really nothing like it except for the rainforest." -

<< DVC – Holding Its Value >>
Presented by
THE TIMESHARE STORE,
INC.
“Why does Disney Vacation Club (DVC) seem to hold its value when looking to
resale?"
Disney Vacation Club is one of the most desirable Vacation Clubs available
today. The demand for properties located on the Disney property in Orlando
is extremely high. Being able to enjoy a vacation, at a luxury Disney resort
all while in walking distance to some of the world’s best theme parks and
attractions is only one of the reasons Disney Vacation Club holds its value.
Disney provides one of the most flexible systems for vacationing. With a
points system that allows the owner to design a vacation specific to their
needs. The points system is a locked in structure which will allow owners to
vacation until the year 2042 for the same amount of points they vacationed
for in 2006. Considering the increase of room rates over the next 36 years,
owners are locking in a vacation at today's prices. When a Saratoga Springs
Resort resale is purchased, the owner has the same locked in value through
2054.
Disney has a process called Right of First Refusal. This process allows
Disney to review a sale of a property before it is finalized. If the price
of the property seems too low, Disney can step in and act as the buyer on
the property. This is a benefit to all involved as the price remains
constant and will not devalue as other timeshares tend to do.
Almost everyone worldwide has heard of Disney at one time or another. Disney
is a household name that holds many meanings to many people. Disney
marketing is above the rest with much attention placed on the Vacation Club.
With all the recent press, the Disney Vacation Club is becoming as much of a
household name as Disney itself.

Across
the Boards with Figment! >>
Welcome back to another installment of Across the Boards. In
this installment let’s take a look at some in’s and out’s of the message
board interface.
“I just got an ADR with my DS and DD at CRT”, feel like something’s lost
in translation?
Don’t worry, while some of the message board abbreviations can be a bit
daunting, INTERCOT has a list to help. In INTERCOT info Central (via the
named tab at the top of every page), under the heading Abbreviations, there
is a section marked “What does it all mean?”. Following the link to this
section will provide you with a list to all of the recognized Disney
abbreviations and common Internet short hand.
The power of the bottom right corner
The bottom corner of every post gives guests special posting option-the
quoted post. Clicking on the quotation marks in the bottom right corner of
every post will generate a reply with the quote of the post already
formatted in the reply box. IN the bottom of every post you make, there is
an additional icon-the pencil and paper. Clicking this option allows you to
edit your post to make corrections or amendments.
Wish Upon a Star(s)
Below each user name is a set of stars, these stars reflect the seniority of
members on the board via number of posts. Along with each set of stars there
is also a title, these titles range from INTERCOT Guest to Senior INTERCOT
Team Cast Member. These same stars and titles also identify the board
moderators and administrators. A list of the stars and titles can be found
in the FAQ section of the boards.
It’s all in the name
The username listed above each post, is actually a gateway to all sorts of
options regarding that user. By clicking on any username a drop down menu
will appear giving you options to view their user profile, contact the user
(depending on the member’s settings), their homepage (if they have one), and
find all posts by that member.
Until next time, happy browsing around the boards and see ya real soon!
