Extra Magic Hour Program

As part of the "Magic Your Way" vacation plan, introduced in 2005, Walt Disney World Resort modified their Extra Magic Hour program to include both Morning and Evening "Extra" Hours. Each day one of the Disney Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to an extra three hours, so Guests of Disney Resorts* have the opportunity to get extra time in the parks.

Resort Guests wishing to enjoy Extra Magic Hours in the morning must present a valid Key to the World Card at the park's turnstiles. Every guest must be present and have their resort ID. In addition to being a Disney Resort Guest, a valid Theme park ticket is required. Guests enjoying the Extra Magic in the evenings must also present a valid Key to the World Card at the park's turnstiles and at the various open attractions to gain entry to ride.

If you are vacationing with a Magic Your Way Base Ticket, in order to take advantage of the program, your Theme Park selection must be the Park offering the Extra Magic Hours benefit that day. A base pass only allows you to visit one Theme Park per day. If you want to go from Theme Park to Theme Park on the same day, including whichever Park has Extra Magic Hours, you must add the Park Hopper Option to your ticket.

*Disney Owned resorts, the Swan & Dolphin Resorts, Shades of Green, and the Hilton at Lake Buena Vista.

Disney releases the Extra Magic Hour schedule with the Park Hours and Events. It is always subject to change.
