Islands of Adventure - At a Glance
Islands of
Adventure opened in May of 1999. The Port of Entry welcomes you. You'll
encounter street peddlers, merchants, and quaint little shops. Found in the
center of this Port town is a beaming lighthouse, mapping the way to 5
uniquely themed Islands. Explore Marvel Super Hero Island, Toon Lagoon,
Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent and Seuss Landing.
How to
get there:
Exit I-4 at Exit #30A (Universal Blvd.) Take a left onto Universal Blvd. and
follow the signs to Universal Studios.

Parking:
Parking fees per vehicle: Cars, vans and motorcycles: $7.00 - RVs and
trailers: $8.00
Valet parking is available for cars and vans at a charge of $14. Simply
follow the signs to the valet parking area.
Park
Hours:
Islands of Adventure is open 365 days a year. Operating hours normally begin
at 9 a.m. Closing times vary with the season and holidays.
Services:
General Services include: First Aid, Kennel Boarding, Postal Services,
Telephones, Child/Baby Swap Program, Lost Children, Nursing Facilities, and
Companion Restrooms.
Rentals are available for Strollers, Wheelchairs & Lockers.
Restaurants:
Guests can choose from a bounty of dining experiences. There are eateries
scattered throughout the various Islands.
Choose from snacks, counter service and sit down dining.

Port of
Entry:
Island Skipper Tours - A boat ride launch between Port of Entry and
Jurassic Park.
Marvel
Super Hero Island:
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man -
You will go up against Doctor Octopus and a bevy of other villains, to save
the city. This attraction combines the adventure of a dark ride, the
excitement of a simulator, and the thrill of 3D effects to give riders an
experience to remember! Must be 40" tall. (48" to ride alone.)

Storm
Force Accelatron - Take a spin and help Storm conquer Magneto. Go
twirling and spinning your way through an exciting journey. Avoid this ride
if you're prone to motion sickness. Under 48” must be accompanied by an
adult.
Kingpin's Arcade - Row after row of video, computer and skill games to
challenge you.
Incredible Hulk Coaster - This *monster* coaster launches you off at one
G, right into a zero-G roll, and then downward at 58 mph, into a 109 foot
inversion. You'll go below water and over buildings! Must be 54" tall.

Doctor
Doom's Fearfall -
A free fall attraction, sending you up 200 feet, only to drop you to drain
your powers! Must be 52" tall.
Toon
Lagoon:
Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls - Snidely Whiplash has kidnapped Nell
Fenwick. This leaves you and Dudley Do-Right to aide in her rescue, sending
you on a wild flume ride through wacky scenes. There is a steep 60-foot
plunge, as well as a double dip 100-foot stream. Must be at least 44” ; 44”
to 48” must be accompanied by an adult.
Me
Ship, The Olive -
A playground with plenty of fun, for kids of all ages.
Popeye
& Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges -
Be prepared to get WET, as you travel
through Sweethaven in a raft. Must be at least 42” ; 42” to 48” must be
accompanied by an adult.
Jurassic Park:
Jurassic Park River Adventure - A flume ride enabling you to view
dinosaurs brought back from extinction. The only way to escape the T-rex is
by plunging 85 feet into darkness! Must be at least 42” ; 42” to 48” must be
accompanied by an adult.

Triceratops Discovery Trail - An Animatronics show, sending you back 65
million years.
Jurassic Park Discovery Center -
A walk through replica of the Visitor Center from the Jurassic Park film.
You'll be able to explore many exhibits with hands-on displays.
Camp
Jurassic -
A prehistoric playground, complete with bridges, water cannons, nets, and a
secret cave. Great fun for all ages!
Pteranodon Flyers -
An aerial tram designed for children 36 to 56 inches tall. Guests over 56”
must be accompanied by a guest meeting this requirement. Sit under the giant
wings, as you glide around Jurassic Park.
The
Lost Continent:
Dueling Dragons - Fire & Ice -
Intertwined hanging coasters, each with a different track, just inches away
from colliding. You'll sour 125 feet into the air, reaching speeds of 55
mph! Must be 54" tall.
Poseidon's Fury: Escape from the Lost City -
A live show leading up to the big battle between Poseidon and Zeus. A few
special effects, plus the loud noise, may be too intense for small children.
The
Eighth Voyage of Sinbad - A live stunt show, including water explosions
and a wall of flame. Sinbad and his crew must save the day.
Flying
Unicorn - A gentler coaster designed for the children. The mystical
journey takes you through the Lost Continent's Enchanted Forest. Must be at
least 36” ; 36” to 48” must be accompanied by an adult.
Seuss
Landing:
Caro-Seuss-el -
Your classic carousel, with 7 different Seuss characters replacing
traditional horses. Under 48” must be accompanied by an adult.
The Cat
in the Hat -
Jump onto your couch car, and journey through this dark
ride for fans of Dr. Seuss's original story. Keep up with the Cat in the
Hat, Thing One & Thing Two, as they romp throughout the house, causing an
upheaval to anything in their path. Under 48” must be accompanied by an
adult.
If I
Ran the Zoo -
An absolute must playground for Dr. Seuss fans. Explore 19 different fun
filled stations.
One
Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish -
A dipping carousel ride, with the challenge of dodging water streams, aimed
right at your colorful fish mobiles. Under 48” must be accompanied by an
adult.
Seuss
Street Show - A stage show filled will singing and dancing. Audience
members are often pulled up on stage to join the Dr. Seuss characters in all
of the fun!
