Resort Room Requests  

Before their arrival,
many guests staying on property at Walt Disney World like to request certain resort locations, rooms, buildings, etc. The most important factor to remember when doing so is that a request is exactly that - a request. Disney cannot guarantee that your preferences will be met, unless of course it is due to a medical condition. However, they will do whatever they can to accommodate their clientele and meet your needs.

It is recommended that guests list their preferences during the initial reservation process. Your requests will then be documented on your confirmation paperwork and within the information later forwarded to the appropriate resort.

If you decide to phone or fax a room request before your arrival, here are some suggestions:

Fax or phone your preferences 3-4 days before your arrival date. The Central Reservation Office does not download room assignments to the individual resorts any sooner than that.

Phone or fax your resort directly. Contact numbers can be found by clicking here. If you decide to phone your requests consider doing it later in the afternoon. The room assigners are generally busy during the morning hours with check-ins and outs. The rush normally calms down after 4:00 PM.

List your requests in order of their importance to you.  Building location, bunk beds, balcony and first floor are all common items to request. The more items you list, the better the chances they will not be met - so be specific. If having bunk beds takes precedent over a balcony, then list it that way.

Here is an example of what to include in your fax:

     Disney's Polynesian Resort
     Attention: Room Assigner
     January 1, 2013

     Aloha from Snowy New York!

     We'll finally be escaping our winter weather by staying at the Polynesian Resort, January 3-8, 2013. We'd be thankful if you could possibly accommodate a few room requests. We have a garden view room reserved and would prefer to be placed in a centrally located building on the third floor with a balcony. Our first building choice is the Tokelau longhouse. Fiji and Tahiti would be great alternatives.

     We will see you in a few days. My family would like to thank you for your assistance in making our upcoming trip so Magical.
