I'm surprised at all of the blackout dates on this. The week we have scheduled is not included.  Why would they not include the week of November 4th? And there are 9 of us going. That could have saved us quite a bit. We're thinking of trying to move it back a week, but we already have our ADR's, and we had one night booked at the Beach Club, which is full the next weekend. There is more stuff going on the weekend of the 9th than the week before, but the week before the 9th is blacked out. Odd.

The week of the 4th is Jersey week. It has been blacked out for the past few years, sorry.
The room-only discounts (if and when they are released) have NOT been blacked out for that time frame, so you still have something to hope for.

I'm bummed as well with the large blackout dates. Our trip is Oct. 9-17.  . Oh well, we'll still have a great time!

Jersey Week is actually a term I picked up here! Nov 8 snd 9 all NJ schools are closed for teachers convention. Some school districts are closed for election day and use Monday and Wed for 1/2 day conference. Many people use this time for vacation. Crowds will still be very manageable but many will be from NJ.
Rates are usually reduced mid-August to early September.

Interesting. Oh well, we just pushed our vacation back a week to grab the free dining. Saves our group $2000! And we got all of our ADR's except for O'hana....but we're substituting Kona Cafe instead. Excited to try someplace new!

No. DVC reservations do not qualify for any discounts. Obviously, you can't get a room discount, and it never qualifies for dining. About the only discount you can get with DVC is a shopping discount @ World of Disney.

release time?
Is there a certain time of day that these offers are released? I want to add the free dining to our trip booked through Disney. Just wondering if I can call and change my reservation before work tomorrow or if I need to wait until mid-morning or so when the offer is officially announced "open to the public"?
