Default Would you rather eat lunch or dinner at LeCellier?

We have both lunch and dinner ADRs (on separate days)at Le Cellier. We'll be there during the F&W Fest, so I'd like to take advantage of all the great offerings. This means letting go of one of our ADRs at LeCellier.

We are not using the dining plan, so we'll be paying OOP for either meal. I know dinner will be much more $$$ than lunch, but I'm okay with that if the quality of the food is worth it.

We ate dinner there once before it became a Signature Dining restaurant. We really enjoyed, and from what I understand, the lunch menu is much like the old dinner menu.

I'm also curious to see how much it had changed since it has been "upgraded".

What would you do?

We ate dinner there about a week ago, and I would recommend it... very good all around. I had the NY Strip, my wife had the filet... both were top notch.

I can't speak to lunch.

We had a late lunch last time we were there. It was as good as dinner, I believe the menus are similiar.. I had the cheddar cheese soup, filet mignon, pretzel bread and creme brulee, all delicious! My son raved about the mashed potatoes. We will be going in March and opted for lunch over dinner to save the credit. Hope this helps!

Default go for lunchIt w

My husband and I just returned a few weeks ago and had dinner. We were on the dining plan. We have dined there several times over the years. The meal there was excellent. I had the filet, risotto, and sorbet. My husband had the strip, potatoes, and cheese platte. I did not find a huge difference in the quality of the food even though we were reminded several times about the the upgrades. I would opt for lunch and save the $$ to enjoy some extras at the food and wine festival.

For a few years, this was our absolute FAVORITE place to dine for dinner.

Now, I would agree on lunch - we actually dropped two dinner ADRs this last trip because of the dinner menu changes after our first experience - and we couldn't tell the "upgrades" in beef from our last vacation. However, the luncheon menu, from what I understand, carries several of our favorites that we couldn't get for dinner, according to our server. $180 OOP with 20% TiW discount for 3 of us, without apps, sides or more than one cocktail a piece seemed ridiculously priced to us. Ridiculous. I might be able to swallow the luncheon prices, but the dinner seemed hollow to us. We'll still go back to LeCellier, but we won't be holding 3 ADRs the next trip for dinner. Had it not been for the bread, we would have left the restaurant hungry. BIG disappointment OOP for the dinner.

Since lunch has all the old favorites, I would do that and save the bucks!

Neither! We've done both lunch and dinner and neither meal lived up to all the hype. We probably won't be eating there ever again.

Thanks for the great feedback! We'll be enjoying lunch at LeCellier and the F&W Fest for dinner!

They were offering Fixed Price set meal this past June. They were fine and allowed you to try some of the house specialties.

Since you're going during the Food Festival, lunch does make sense to me, though I would have chosen dinner otherwise since you said money is no object.

Lunch will be lighter, allowing you more room to sample world cuisine.

Another vote for neither one. In my opinion, LC is way over-rated and overpriced. Better steaks at your local Outback. I don't waste my time trying to get an ADR there anymore. In Epcot, I'd rather eat at Rose & Crown, Chefs de France or Teppan Edo.
