    Smile Refillable mugs at CBR

Hello everyone We are off to the cbr this september and I have a quick question. We stayed there last june(2010) and had the refillable mugs. Can I bring them along on this next trip and use them? I have heard both yes and no. Thanks.

No. Mugs are valid only for the length of your stay. When you go on a new trip, you must purchase new mug(s). In fact, Disney is in the process of implementing new technology that will prevent older mugs from being reused on a new trip.

the mugs are for length of stay in which they were purchased.they are the same mug as you purchased in june.disney can't tell when they were purchased and thats why their trying the rfid chip in the newer mugs at one of the all star resorts to force people to purchase the mugs and not use older or non disney mugs.my dw and i have AP's and go 4 to 6 times a year but we dont stay on property everytime.i think if your an ap holder it should be length of annual pass. <snip>

I like that idea of AP people using the mug for the year. Maybe when tey renew their passed, they get a mug.

Buy a new mug. Look at it like a souvenir.

Too bad they are cheap pieces of junk you'll throw away when you leave. We did. Nothing special about them. Just say Disney Parks.

Stay with system, buy some new ones. The cheap ones probably can't survive two trips. Plus its right to buy a new one.

I agree. I have a collection of souvenir mugs. I always buy at least 2 mugs on every trip. Why? So, in the evening I have more than enough tea or soda when I head back to my room. It's a long walk back to the food court when you're relaxing in your room. I probably have 10 of the "generic" mugs and 8 resort-specific "length-of-stay" mugs. I also have 8 of the original CBR "lifetime" mugs, which are still in great condition, since I never take them back to WDW on subsequent stays at CBR. That's why I have 8.

I have 4 each of the last 2 designs, since they were both used for 2 years. I'm glad there's a new mug design this year, even though I'd rather have a resort-specific mug. I'll be purchasing 2 mugs in approximately 43 days, and will probably add 2 more next year.

It was nice when the mugs were personalized for each resort. I wish I had never put mine in the dishwasher! Now there isn't much left to them

We are staying at CBR in sept also! Enjoy your trip
