Touring Plans and Evening EMH
Some people advise against going to parks with the morning EMH, as it will be more crowded than the other parks. Is that true of the evening EMH as well? If we go to the evening EMH park in the MORNING, will it be crowded, or does it pick up later on in the day? We won't have park hoppers, so may leave around noon and return around 4:00 for a few hours. (Going in June, so it will be HOT.)
Any advice?

It seemed like it when we went last year. I commented to my bride that we should avoid parks that have morning extra magic hours AND parks that have evening extra magic hours.

I'm a bit confused, I figured since EMH were only for WDW Resort guests the parks would be a little less crowded and a perfect time to visit.

Dedivah, that is what everyone figures, which is the reason the parks are more full. Add in the regular park population before closing, and it is very full- so the logic goes.

Another question, if you are already in a park that has evening EMH, how do you know to leave and who would make you leave if you are not a WDW Resort guest?
I'm trying to remember if we had a wristband on or something on our last trip but I don't call.

You have to show your Key to the World card at every attraction you wish to visit. It used to be that you procured a wristband, but now each member of your party must show their KTTW card, kids included.
Our experience, going in June/July/August, is that evening EMH are just as crowded, if not more, than daytime hours since everyone is trying to avoid the heat. We enjoy morning EMH, but usually ditch the morning EMH park by noon since they just get too crowded. Here on the boards folks have recently mentioned that evening EMH are not crowded, but for our annual 15-day vacation, we have other opinons on that one - we've seen the crowds first-hand, year over year, well past midnight-1 am at MK. At 4:00, you will be running into both regular non Disney resort guests and folks like you who did not purchase the park hopping option & will be concentrating on visiting one park that day.
I'd select a different park all together if you aren't going to utilize the EMH and do not have Park Hoppers.

Without the park-hopper option, I think I would just avoid EMH all together. It's hard to predict what EMH will do to crowds. Sometimes EMH can be useful, but they can also draw crowds, and if you don't have the ability to leave and go to a different park if it does get packed, your out of luck.

Without a park hopper, I would avoid the parks that have EMH, they generally are busier than those parks without the extra hours.
You could plan to visit the parks the day AFTER they have EMH's, figuring that many resort guests won't want to head back to the park they were at the day before.
