When is completion date for fantasyland expansion?

This has probably already been anwered...but i couldn't find it. What is projected date of completion? Anyone know?

All Disney has said so far is "2013". No further details have been provided.

Look for it to be completed in phases. I think the first phase (which includes all the originally announced stuff they've been working on for awhile) to be done some time in 2012 (early? mid? late? can't remember what they said about that).

The newer stuff ... like the Dwarfs coaster and stuff ... that most likely won't be done until 2013 at the earliest. I'd expect some of it to flow over in to 2014, too. Especially if new announcements come along.

The last update I read on one of the Disney blogs I follow said Fall 2012.

The expected opening date of the new Fantasyland is about 18-21 months after the anticipated opening date of the new Fantasyland.

But then, I suppose I shouldn't judge this project by what happened to Test Track, shouldn't I?

trying to stay optimistic, (i heard in church today those types of people live longer lol) we rode EE about two months before the "opening"... so who knows??

When I was there today, they had a sign for the Be Our Guest restaurant, but nothing else for the Beauty and the Beast portion. That leads me to believe that the restaurant will be finished first. Of course, I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time!

I also noticed that Mrs. Potts changed to Storybook Treats or something to that effect. I was very disappointed, even though I'm sure the ice-cream tastes exactly the same.

I'd say that's a pretty accurate statement, since the restaurant is well under construction right now.

I saw the new signs the other night that they now have on the Fantasyland construction walls. I think there was one up for Belle's cottage.

It seemed like they were getting a ton of stuff done when I was there at the beginning of last month, but of course, I could only see so much. I'm hoping on having a trip once this is mostly completed so I can see all the new stuff finished!

They have only said 2013 as completion date. I'm sure it will be in phases too, especially since Universal is going to expand Harry Potter Land supposedly by 2012.

Well, we're planning a trip in June 2012 for our expected baby's 1st birthday, so hopefully there'll be less construction than on our last trip. :-/
HPL is going to be expanded? You mean someone learned their lesson? I felt like a cow in a herd trying to go through there, and it was "after the crowds had died down." Whatever.

Rumors include removing the rest of the Lost Continent. Then replacing Poseidon's Fury with something like a ride or walk-through of Gringotts Bank in the first movie where Harry and Hagrid get the family money and where the sorcerer's stone was put in. Also replacing the show that they have and changing it to something dealing with the Tri-Wizard Tournament...

i'm excited. 2013 will by my 50th birthday...i'm anticipating a HUGE disney party!
