Default MVMCP or EMH ??

I thought I had our plans worked out. But now I keep second guessing myself.
Whats your thoughts on Sun's MVMCP or Mon at MK with emh. (Dec 5&6) We are not at a Disney Resort so the emh are not for us, we would more or less avoid them because of the crowd.

Our original plan was the Christmas party, we have two teens and two little ones (8 & 9). This is the only park we are planning. If something else comes up while we are there we might jump in, but this is the only one we want to write in stone.

What is everyones opinion of which one to do?

*Oh, and for those who have been to the party already this year, is it ok to enter the park at 4:00????? That would be a "big" factor in this.

Despite rumors to the contrary, folks have been allowed to enter at 4 on party tickets. Since you can't take advantage of extra magic hours, it doesn't appear this is an either/or situation for you and your family. Personally, I've never gone to the Christmas party to use it for the basic park rides but certainly to take in the special offerings the party has to offer. I can't answer what might work better for your and your family.

Thanks for the info on the entrance time
What do you think of the rumor that they sell more tickets now than they used to?
We have been to MVMCP with the teens but it was a couple of years ago. It wasn't crowded at all. It was also on a Thursday not a Sunday, wonder if that matters

In my experience, the night your attend the party does matter. Typically, more locals attend on weekend nights, less on weeknights. I now prefer attending on a mid-week night if possible. Many locals may attend on a Thursday night simply by taking a Friday off and making it a long weekend.

I believe they still sell a limited number of tickets but not all nights are sellouts which also gives the feeling of more space.

The park clears out pretty well after the fireworks and the second parade provides far more space per person than the earlier one does.

Your just full of helpful info!!
Do you know if there's a way to find out how close to sold out Dec 5 is? I know that can change because of people who buy tickets when they get there. But well, I was just wondering, how likely it would be to have a full house.

I've often wished I could know that in advance but there's just no way of telling. I've been there when they're still trying to sell tickets as the party is beginning and, at other times, when no tickets are available for a particular party - sometimes, it's just the luck of the draw!

Thank you so much for all of your help.
I think we will chance the MVMCP and just cross our fingers for a lite crowd that night.
No doubt everyone will have fun, it is Christmas and DisneyWorld at Christmastime is my FAVORITE!!!
