Rent a Car Under 25

Does anyone know of any companies who don't charge the 15-25 dollar a day surcharge for renting a car under 25. I am 24 years old with a clean driving record and am wondering if anyone knows if any companies will work with me on this. I just find it crazy that the car can cost about 175 dollars to rent if i was 6 months older but now it will cost me at least an extra 105-150 just for a surcharge! As always thanks for your help!

There usually isn't much you can do. If you're working full-time sometimes your company will have an agreement with a rental agency that will mean lower fees (or no fees at all). This really helped me - our company travel agency used to rent me cars, since I was only 22 when I started working for them!

Otherwise, you might have to try a "lesser" known place - they are usually more open to negotiation, or somewhere like rent a wreck - I think their fees are lower too.
