Default How to get to Oak Trail from SSR

33 days until we're back in WDW

DB, DBF and DF are bringing their golf clubs and plan on using the water parks and more option to play a few rounds of golf. However, we would normally rent a car during our stay, and this time, we decided not to. Is it possible to get from SSR to the golf course using Disney buses? I believe it's the Oak Trail course that is included with the purchase of the water parks and more add-on. On the other hand, if they were going to play golf more than once (maybe 3X? 4X?) it might be more economical to just rent a car... any thoughts?

If you are playing at a Disney course, the resort will give you a voucher to give to the taxi driver to take you to and from the golf course. My hubby golfs at Disney a lot (never Oak Trail through). You go to the front desk and tell them you need a cab to the golf course...they will call and give you the slip to give the driver. This ride is free. Also disney will keep and transport your clubs if you have a reservation at another disney golf course during your stay...this is nice for us as it gets his clubs out of our room...this is also a free service. You cannot use your water parks and more pass to pay at the regular course, but there is a two round pass that you can get that is reasonable...or it's cheaper to golf in the afternoons (remember the heat)...you can book on line or by phone.
Hope this helps.

Wow Pirate Granny! Thanks for all that info! However, since Pleasure Island closed in '08, Disney has added the option of a round of golf at Oak Trail as one of the options on the Water Park Fun and More ticket. Not all of Disney's courses are included, just Oak Trail, I'm assuming because it's only a 9-hole course. HTH
