Dec. 2, 2001 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired “Brian’s Song.”
Dec. 2, 2002 – The three 2-disc sets of “Walt Disney Treasures: Wave 2” (titled Mickey Mouse in Black and White, The Complete Goofy, and Behind the Scenes at The Walt Disney Studio) were released.
Dec. 2, 2002 – “Santa Clause Lane,” the 2nd single from Hilary Duff’s debut album “Santa Clause Lane,” was released. It is the theme song for the new Disney feature film “The Santa Clause 2” starring Tim Allen.
Dec. 2, 2003 – Steve Blanchard and Megan McGinnis, the stars of Disney’s Broadway hit “Beauty and the Beast,” appeared at the Lincoln Center Tree Lighting Ceremony in N.Y.C. They performed a special duet version of the musical’s title tune.
Dec. 2, 2003 – Disney’s “101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure” won a DVD Exclusive Award for Best Animated DVD Premiere Movie at a gala ceremony in Los Angeles, Ca. “Finding Nemo” was honored for Best Menu Design, Best Games and Interactivities, and Best Deleted Scenes, Outtakes and Bloopers.
Dec. 2, 2003 – The Disney film “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” was released on DVD.
Dec. 2, 2003 – The annual “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” began in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. (Dates included Dec. 2,4,5,7,9,11,12,14,16,18 and 19)
Dec. 2, 2003 – Disney’s one-hour drama series “Line of Fire” began airing on ABC. (Ended Feb. 3, 2004)
Dec. 2, 2006 – Disney Channel was launched in Poland with the local TV premiere of “The Incredibles.”
Dec. 2, 2008 – The Walt Disney Picture film “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” was released on DVD and Blu-ray.
