Default Got 'Ohana -- finally!!!

I just had to post to share my excitement with people who understand. I booked our ADRs right on the 90 Day Mark, 7a.m. but could not get 'Ohana. Got everything else fine. I kept trying every other day or so and finally this morning it had an availability! I'm so excited. It's the one place my husband wanted to eat. Moral of the post -- don't give up. Sometimes there are cancellations or changes. Just keep trying!

Great news! So glad you didn't give up. I'm glad it paid off for you. Enjoy 'Ohana!

That's great! I'm so glad for you!

I know what you mean about 'Ohana....I had a heck of a time getting one breakfast there during our entire 10 day trip, but I got it. I also had to compromise on a day for dinner there, too. Those were my most hard-to-get ADR's.

I totally get it. A trip wouldn't be complete, or as satisfying, without a meal at 'Ohana.

Congrats! O'hana is a special place and getting an ADR is half the fun!

We couldn't get Ohana due to the change in our trip date. Is there a "standby" line at the hostess desk or something?

Well, I know a lot of people make multiple ADRs for the same time at different restaurants and many don't bother cancelling the unused ones. I'm not sure how they handle no-shows, but it's at least worth a shot I would think...

Congrats! I, too, called on the first possible day to make our ADRs, and had a hard time securing ressies for Ohana. I had to do a bit of changing around of our schedule to get a ressie, and it was for 9:30 PM even then! Had no trouble whatsoever with other ADRs. Ohana must be VERY popular!

Wouldn't it be great if they started a lunch time seating. I would do it if it meant I got to eat there. It seems to be the hardest ADR to get. We settled for 8:55 PM for our upcoming trip. Just a thought.

I couldn't get a ressie for our August week either but kept trying. After they started the online reservations, I checked every day and was finally able to get a reservation for dinner on our final day there. At first I could only get a ressie for 9:00 p.m. or 9:50 p.m. That was just too late for us. I kept on until I got a 5:00 ressie. We enjoyed it so much! Too much food! We were celebrating our anniversary, and no, they didn't make us get up on the tables or anything, but they did give out leis to the ones celebrating. They have a conga line for the kids and other things during dinner and you can get up there if you want. They kept asking the people celebrating their anniversary, etc. to get up and dance with them but we didn't.

There is no standby line if you don't get a reservation. We noticed in several of the restaurants that we had a hard time getting a reservation that there were empty tables with people sitting outside waiting so I imagine this double booking by people is affecting this.
