Sometimes U get a great CM for ressies sometimes not so much....
Just venting here. I had a ressie for PORS with free dining 12/12 thru 12/19. Well some DFs are going to go with us. So i need to change to POP preferred and upgrade from the QS plan if i stayed in a value. I had checked online found rooms at POP with every search. So i called to change my reservations to 2 rooms preferred at POP.
Well i got a real peach of a CM. I told her what i wanted to do. She stayed hung up on the fact there might not be any rooms left with the disney visa package, the one i had used for PORS ressie.  She checked none available. I said ok try the public code for the free dining. That date has expired, she told me.  I told her it hadn't it was 9/26. She said oh let me check, well she checked, sorry no rooms available. I told her i had checked last night on web n found rooms. Well sorry they are all gone. Probably happened over night. I said thanks kept original ressie.
Hung up n called right back.
Got a GREAT CM and she fixed it all for me pop preferred rooms available made ressie change for me added room for our DFs. Put the request for adjoining rooms. Upgrade to MYWdining, from the QS dining. All quickly and most of all very PLEASANT and EASY. Got my confirmation numbers and everything is just what i requested. 
I realize the first CM must have had some other issues going on so I'm gonna say a prayer for her and send some pixie dust her way
Thanks for listening. Now I have 15 days until I make my ADRS. I have Planning to do!!!

Sorry you had that experience, but I'm glad that you were tenacious enough to call back. Often, a little persistence (coupled with some luck and  )pays off.
One thing I've always done with just about everybody I deal with (not just WDW) over the phone is when they answer and give their name, I pretend I didn't hear them, and ask them to repeat their name. And if it's an unusual name, I ask if they'd mind spelling it for me. That little thing alone gets the message across to them that you're the type who isn't going to hesitate reporting them if you get less-than-good customer service.
And, if they fail to give their name when they answer, I make a point of asking for it.

I'm glad you got it all sorted out!
I agree with the above post, I always make a special note of the name, and try and use it, so they know I'll remember.

I know exactly how you feel... I had orginally booked online our stay at BLT for Nov.
Checking back online I noticed that there were MK views avail. I called and got a CM who acted as if I was crazy. I told him that I wanted to change the room to a MK view and he told me it was not available so I told him to cancel my reservation so I can make my own changes online then he told me that the free dining offer does not apply. I told him then why can I book it online and that I am 2 seconds from booking it if he cannot help me. That's when he told me to hold on and made the changes. I could feel myself getting angrier and angrier and he was not trying to appease me at all.
When I called back for something else, it was a world of difference I had a much better CM, who was much more attentive and he even sent us the special package in the mail that made us even more excited than we already are!

I have been having issues similar to this with the ticketing CM's. I bought an AP in May, but the CM at Hollywood Studios tied it to my room key, so I don't have any of the right numbers to log into the passholder site. I have talked to no less than 3 people, who have all given me different numbers, none of which work. To top it all off, the have the shortest office hours, and are always busy. ANNOYING!
This is the reason I make my room/package ressies with Wendy from MJ...she's so much more fun to deal with!!!

I know what you mean! Got a dud this morning at six AM here. I did get my reservations cause I know what I'm doing and was prepared, but...She sounded like she was dragging and had no "Disney" about her! I cheered her up, and had her laughing out loud by the end. That Pixiedust thing can go both ways...
