Pirate Rooms??

As I have posted before, my wife and I are taking a last minute trip to WDW the first week of August. We are planning on staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Well the other night my wife saw the pictures of the pirate rooms and got very excited. So now it looks like we will be staying a pirate room (I told her Johnny Depp is not included).

Has anyone stayed in one and what did they think?? Was it worth the extra money? What extra details are there besides the boat beds?

i have never stayed in the pirate rooms but they look great. I have stayed at cbr before and it is beautiful. I believe the pirate rooms are in Trinadad South which is the furthest away from check in and the food court and main pool.

Actually, he (Johnny Depp) kind of is included...

There's a picture on the wall with the last scene from POC. Yes--it's worth the extra money! Other details are the gold coin bedding, the pirate flag curtain, crate-styled dresser, barrel fridge/nightstand, woodgrained carpet, ship decor in shower, black iron sconces--
I want to go back!!!!

We stayed in the Pirate Rooms in Febuary. We really liked them, the theming was great! When we go back to Carribean we will stay in them again. Just keep in mind they are a Looooong walk away from the food court, but we don't use the resort food courts so it didn't matter to us, but it was a long trek to refill your mugs if you have them, also to pick up packages you have sent to the resort, but I would still recommend them. Have fun!!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Pirate room, even though it was far from the main buildings, we loved the theming in the rooms and found the CBR very beautiful. We were a party of 3 adults and we had a cot in our room.Enjoy your trip!

Make sure and check out the Pirate Ship mural in the bathroom. Also there are hidden Mickey's on the bedspread. The fridge is shaped like and old barrel and the carpet looks like a wooden deck. It's a lot of fun.
