Southwest Airlines & Luggage????

I recall hearing that Southwest Airlines was doing a trial run, at one resort only, of allowing Magical Express passengers to check their luggage at the resort.

Does anyone have any info on how that trial is going? Or has anyone heard of any plans to move forward with adding Southwest Airlines baggage check to all resorts?

I have not yet booked my flight home for our September trip.

I thought I read it somewhere as well and thought it was POP that is where we are staying this Dec and I already got my flights to and from for 59.00 each way. great bargain for us... I hope it is pop but if not they still get your luggage for you is what they told us.

There has been no further update. The trial was said to be brief, but no explanation as to what that means. From the way they talked and what I've heard it'll probably only go through July or August then they'll make a decision whether to expand outside of Pop, keep it going only at Pop (unlikely), or discontinue.

1) Southwest is extremely sensitive about their reputation.
2) With point-to-point airplanes, they seldom have lost luggage.
3) DME is good, but still has luggage issues daily.
4) A small percentage maybe, but still has problems.
5) I am sure SW wants to gage luggage delays.
