Southwest Dates

My family just booked out trip today and Sun Country has a fantastic deal for $204 a person round trip..... currently southwest will only book through 8/14 and we don't leave till 8/16.....so I am asking...........

1) Does anyone know when southwest will book out further?
2) Is it worth the wait or should I just go sun country and be done??
3) What is Southwest's cancellation policy?

Southwest's site says that on April 14 they will be releasing fares through October 30.

Can't help you with the other questions, though.
