Default Watching Wishes from a boat?

I've heard about being able to watch Wishes from a boat, but I haven't found much info on it. Have you done this? What does it cost? Where do you launch from? Is it a ride specifically for the fireworks show, or is it a ferry that takes you across the lake while they're going on? Thanks!

We did the magical gatherings wishes cruise last march! It was a lot of fun! I believe, but could be wrong, that for this year anyone can go on the cruise! I don't remember how much it cost.

It was a lot of fun! There was a small dessert reception at the contemporary before hand, then we went on the boat from the dock at the back of the Contemporary. We floated around and played a little trivia contest before. Then it was time for Wishes! The music played on the boat while the fireworks went off! It was really beautiful to see it from the lake! It's a completely different perspective!!!

Here's information on the fireworks cruises. They're quite pricy but they do book up quickly so they are hard to get.

We lucky into this last year. We were returning to our room at the Polynesian on an afternoon that had been rainy. As we passed the marina, a CM member started talking to us. We ended up having a nice conversation and a few laughs. Then, he tells us he drives one of the boats for the Wishes fireworks cruise and his group cancelled. So, the trip is already paid for and he's already there, would we like to go. We jumped at the chance. He grabbed another group and took about 10 of us out. It was really nice. He gave us a tour around Bay Lake before the show. We stopped with a direct view of the castle and the music was piped into the boat so we didn't miss a thing. It was incredible. Then after the fireworks, we got a close up view of the Electrical water parade. It was a great to see a different view of both Wishes and the parade.

We got lucky in September 2007 when we were taking the launch from the Poly to the GF. We were stopped by the Electrical Water Parade and we got to see Wishes at the same time. The music wasn't piped in, but it was a nice treat none the less. It also was a case of the right place at the right time!

For clarification...the prices in Faline's post. Are those per person...ie if my fiance' and I were to go on one of the cruises it would cost $450-$1,000 total depending on which package we went with?...

The prices are for the boat rental. You can have from one up to the maximum number of guest listed for that price.

You may be referring to a private fireworks cruise that you can arrange for Wishes and Illuminations. More info can be found on info central here on intercot. We did one many years ago for Wishes. It really was nice. Our tour guide was great, and we had the perfect location! We could even see the mad rush of people trying to get out of the park afterward, and there we were relaxing on a boat!
