No!! Monk -8th and FINAL season to air summer 2009...

According to TV Guide, the USA Network announced Monk will have its final season this summer, with 16 episodes.
USA'S executive vice president Jeff Watchel said that "Monk is the most succesful series on basic cable.."

This is so sad!! I love this show and have seen every episode!! But, at least they will have an end to it instead of leaving things unsolved...

They announced this Friday night during the season finale. I hope Monk is able to solve his wife's murder in the final season.

Wasn't it hinted at that Natalie's husband was dishonorably discharged from service and that she was hoping to get his name cleared. I want to say it was in her first episode as Monks assistant. I have always wondered if that was going to be investigated or did I miss something?

I wonder if they will bring Sharona back for a cameo?

I have beena fan since the start. Great show and characters.
