Default Fri-Tues or Wed-Sun??

Can I get some opionions to help plan a trip in October. Kids are out of school, and either way it's 3 vacation days for us. What would you say are the best dates to schedule a 5 day trip? Neither option involves Columbus Day or Halloween, so that's not a factor. (I'm wrestling with high volume days at the parks, hoping to get a deal on airfare, etc.)
Thanks!!

I'm torn. I picked Wed-Sun. Mondays are crowded. Weekends are crowded. Thursdays are usually great.

Another vote for Wednesday thru Sunday. I believe the parks will be quieter.

As far as airfare, it's gonna be a catch 22. It will be cheap to fly out on Wednesday, but pricey to fly back on Sunday. For Friday, it may or may not be cheap to fly out but Tuesday coming back should be inexpensive. I'd rather be at the parks Wed-Sun though. Weekends are crowded with locals and such.
