Parking at DTD
What's the parking like at Downtown Disney? Do you have to pay to park?

Parking at DTD is free and there are alot of spaces.

There may be a lot of spaces but I always have a heck of a time finding one!

Free...lots of spaces...but never the ones where you want them to be.
At the end of the night...they spin the parking lot around so that whereever you are in DTD...your car is on the OPPOSITE side.

Yes, parking is free. However, there are somewhere around five "lots" which stretch from the West side around to the Marketplace area. Flashing signs will tell you when each lot is full. I don't know how many times we've gone to find a parking spot, only to have to turn around and go all the way over to the far West Side parking area, then walk back towards the Marketplace. Let's just say that we're very thankful for resort delivery at these times!

Yeah, it really stinks, but I understand the reasoning. Everyone would park at DTD for free and then go to the parks. Of course, some of us park there anyway and then go to a resort for a hop to a park. As an AP, we get free parking, but sometimes it is easier to just go there for lunch and shopping and then hit a park for the evening show.
