Sissy Exits?

My husband and I are going the end of January to WDW to celebrate our 20th anniversary early and while I will ride a lot of the rides in all the parks the "Thrill" rides are not for me. I was wondering how many rides like RnRC and ToT have Sissy Exits so I can stay in line with him and then sneak out while he rides the actual ride. I don't want to get caught having to ride those rides (and a few others in the other parks) as I will end up

I think you can leave before any ride.

Both Rock 'N' Roller and TOT have a chicken exit.
Rock 'N' Roller's is a door just before the loading area - you end up where the riders leave the ride vehicles .
TOT has an "Express Elevator" (normal elevator) to take you to the ride exit, once you have seen the preshow and queued through the boiler room of the hotel.
Most rides that offer the baby swap option will have a chicken exit - just ask the cast members for assistance.

All of the so called "thrill" rides have a chicken exit. You can walk through the queue with your family until you reach the ride loading area. Then just tell a CM that you are not riding.

I think it's safe to assume that WDW will not force you to ride any attraction! Even if there's no official "chicken exit", I expect a cm would be called to escort you out, or you would be directed back out thru the queue.

Thanks everyone. I'm a big Fraidy Cat and don't want my husband stuck waiting in lines since it is just the two of us for our early 20th anniversary trip.

Congrats on the 20th. I have middle ear problem, thus, vertigo. I can't go on most rides either, but I just love WDW. Do stay with your hubby and then exit the chicken door. Afterall, you've been with him this long, don't leave him now

Thanks. I'm going to remember the chicken exit option. And you are right....20 yrs....I can wait with him in some lines and then "Bock, bock, bock" Chicken out!

I think Splash Mountain actually has one signposted as 'Last Chance to Back Out', haven't noticed whether they do at other rides or if they just don't bring as much attention to them.

LOL - you could always do what my 10 year old did at the Mummy over at Universal. She rides all the BIG coasters, loves Tower of Terror, etc. But for some reason, the entrance area to the Mummy freaked her out so bad that she didn't wait for a chicken exit - or even for me! - she just took off running back against the flow of all the people coming in. She had such a look of stark terror on her face, they MOVED fast to get out of her way, LOL (and actually, she did go on it later in the day and loved it - but it's the "spooky" stuff that gets her. She almost freaked and ran out of Haunted Mansion too. Go figure.)

Nope, it is the actual coasters that get me...drops, turns, upside down!!! First one I ever road was the Cyclone at Carowinds in NC/SC. I passed out before the car was at the top of the first drop. Didn't come to til after the ride was over. I spent some of the afternoon in their infirmary and haven't really ridden a big coaster since.

Because of a surgery my wife had a couple yrs ago she can't do the coasters anymore. So she just gets herself a Mickey Bar or iced coffee, sits back and does some serious people watching.

After 33 yrs of marriage, I think she enjoys the few minutes away from me.

Reminds me of my sister, went on all of the rollercoasters completely unphased and loved each and every one of them. It wasn't until our last visit in 2004 (when she was aged 10) that she was willing to give the Haunted Mansion a try.

Then again I can't talk. First time we went (1998, I was 8) I went on every rollercoaster at Disney World without hesitation and got upset when I couldn't do two at Busch Gardens. Then I was creeped out by the Country Bear Jamboree.....it was those animal heads on the wall that did it.

LOL! Now that you mention it, Country Bear is kinda creepy on a bunch of levels...;-)

It is amazing what gets to people. I know someone that will never enter any amusement park because they are terrified of balloons. Harmless balloons that all the parks have to sell to kids.

Don't quite understand that one, but oh well.

One of my friends is supposedly weird about balloons when they pop, though I've never put this to the test.

It was just the animal heads that got to me on Country Bear Jamboree. I never liked thosetype of thing when i was little and didn't even like being in a room with a moose head or deer antlers on the wall. So naturally seeing these not only alive but talking to each other was a bit of a shock.

Good news was 3 years later when we went again I was fine with it, even enjoying the show...though my family did almost have to drag me into the building first.
