Question Anyone Parasailed Before?

We are sailing for a week on the Western cruise in February and I just booked a parasailing reservation for me and my 11 year old daughter at Castaway Cay.

I assume we will do tandum? We want it that way.

Also, anyone we would love any advice from anyone who has done this before. Is it worth it? What is it like? My DD LOVES being high and thrill rided (Tower of Terror junkie). This is the only excursion we've paid for as we are traveling with a family who is very savvy with going places without paying extra.

Thanks! We're excited!!!

It will be one of the most incredible experiences of your life. I went to Cancun in 1996 and did it. I am scared of heights, but my friends talked me into it. You are up so quickly and down so quickly you don't have time to think about it. Once you are up there, it is almost like time is standing still. You can barely feel the movement as you feel like you are floating. It is so quiet and tranquil you will not be disappointed. It ranks in my top ten things I have done after meeting my husband and having my kids. It will be amazing and well worth the money. Enjoy your experience

Parasailing is a lot of fun. It can be either very exciting or very relaxing, depending on your driver, the height you go and the speed. If you want exciting and you have a good driver, tell him that, they have ways of making it a really wild but still very safe ride.

Bring a camera. I just brought one of the disposable cameras with a wrist strap so it was no loss if it happened to slip from my hand. I got some great pictures. My experience was very relaxing. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be and it's an experince I would recommend to anyone. Have fun!!

Thanks everyone! Just reading your experiences is making me so excited! I had already thought of the disposable cameras with a wrist band - the water resistant ones.

Can't wait!
