Nov. 19, 1831 – James Abram Garfield, the 20th U.S. President was born in Orange Township, now Moreland Hills, Oh. He could be visited along with all the U.S. Chief Executives at the “Hall of Presidents” attraction in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
Nov. 19, 1905 – Actress Eleanor Audley, the voice of Maleficent in Disney’s 1959 “Sleeping Beauty” and Lady Tremaine in the 1950 “Cinderella,” was born on N.Y.C.
Nov. 19, 1906 – Writer and Disney Legend William Cottrell was born. His Disney credits would include “Pinocchio,” “The Reluctant Dragon,” and “Alice in Wonderland.”
Nov. 19, 1919 – Actor Alan Young was born in England. He is the voice of Scrooge McDuck for the film “Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas” and “The House of Mouse” TV series. He also appeared in the 1978 live-action feature “The Cat From Outer Space.” (TV fans may recognize him as Wilbur Post in the classic series Mr. Ed.)
Nov. 19, 1932 – Disney Silly Symphony cartoon “Babes in the Woods” was released.
Nov. 19, 1941 – The Disney cartoon “Thrifty Pigs” was delivered to the National Film Board of Canada for the purpose of purchasing Canadian War Bonds.
Nov. 19, 1944 – The “Main Street Photo Supply” opened on Main Street at Disneyland.
Nov. 19, 1960 – Actress Allison Janney, the voice of Peach in Disney’s 2003 “Finding Nemo,” was born in Dayton, Oh.
Nov. 19, 1961 – Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color aired part-2 of “The Light in the Forest” on NBC-TV.
Nov. 19, 1962 – Actress Jodi Foster, whose Disney credits include the 1972 “Napoleon and Samantha” and the 1976 “Freaky Friday,” was born in Los Angeles, Ca.
