Default Quiet pools

I was wondering what peoples expierence with quiet pools were. We are staying at CSR for the first time in less that a month. Our last 2 trips we stayed at POFQ where they only have the main pool. How "quiet" are the quiet pools? Are they mainly for adults or is just a place for a more mellow swim?

The quite pools are great. We took advantage of them at OKW, CBR, and POR. They are for everyone so I do not know where the term "quiet" came from. We and plenty of other families had our kids there playing around.

I quess they call them quiet because they don't have as many things to do at them. They are not near the main bldg. We always go to the quiet pool with kids and have such a great time! It's not as crowded!

We love 'em......they are generally right next to your building thus the phrase quiet pool...as you can swim (without lifeguards) 24 / 7 ....unless being cleaned....so the late night swim, while others are sleeping, should be as quiet as possible.....during the day, however, I've seen and heard kids playing and having great fun....

When we stayed at POR, we laughed at them calling the one near us a "quiet" pool. It was NOT quiet-loud until after midnite.

My kids swam in the quiet pool at CBR (Barbados) in October. Hardly anyone there in any of the quiet pools. The main pool was busy which they also enjoyed.

I had no idea that the quiet pools were open 24/7. That is great! Thanks for the info!

When we stayed @ CBR, we had a "quiet pool" only a short walk from our room right next to the laundry room. No one was every there except for us. Only one time was there a lady there sunbathing, and she left after about an hour. So we had the whole pool to oursevles while we did our laundry!

Pretty much any pool on Disney property without a water slide is a quiet pool. I'm not sure where the name come from, but many of them do have "official" names. At Contemporary it's called Bay Pool, at WL... well... I'm blanking out now... and at Fort Wilderness, it's called Loop Pool. Quiet pools are all open 24/7 and unguarded. Quiet pools also do close with the main pools in bad weather situations, tho.

When we stayed at CSR we were in the Casitas section and I used the quiet pool all the time. The main reason for that was because it's a lap pool and I could workout. Very rarely were there more than 4 or 5 people in it.

When we were at CSR at the beginning of October no one except two ducks were in the quiet pool.

They weren't swimming they were just soaking their feet. They quacked very quietly between themselves.

Default The pools are not really Quiet

The pools are not really Quiet-maybe less crowded-

The ones at beach club ar noisy, just not aas crowded- They stay open much later than the main pool. So at night its very noisy.
at Wilderness lodge, it is actually noisier
We had some kids from Brazil doing flips in the quiet pool- Now they did some amazing flips off of stacked chairs, but it wasnt quiet...

They are very convenient for late night swims...we ususally go after we return from the parks, even at 1-2am...and it's wonderful to take a quick dip before bed...smile...only seven more days...

we do this too- which is why you don't want a room overlooking the pool if you go to sleep early...
