Gratuity

[Insanity Clause]

I have a rather dumb question so please bear with me. There are five of us on the dining plan and we are meeting my friend and her husband at WDW and will be dining with them every night. Now, my question is with the gratuity does that 18% apply since we are 7 or will it be separate since we are not all paying together?

Your table will be seated together, therefore the server is still serving 7 people. You will pay the 18%. Otherwise, don't ask to be seated together.

On one of our past visits my son was only 2, so we could not count him in our group to have enough for a Grand Gathering, but yet when it came time to pay for dinner he was counted in so we had enough people that they add the tip to the bill. I didn't care about the $ of the tip, cause she probally would have gotten a bigger tip if I wouldn't have been told how to give. But, I was really mad that Disney would only count a young child for that reason, not a reason to benefit the guest.
