My Flower Power Disney Trip Epilogue
I hope you have a tissue handy because this is the end of my trip. After the story & high/low lights I will have an update on how things turned out. Here we go.
Sadly, our trip has come to an end & I tried really hard to make the last few days go as slow as possible. We woke up at 5:00 a.m. to do some leftover packing, check in our bags at the check in counter at Pop Century resort, have breakfast & Louis turn in his ECV.
The Disney's Magical Express bus picked us up & dropped us off at each airline terminal we needed. Since we already checked our bags at the hotel, we didn't have to check them in at the airport. That's one of the magical things about the Magical Express. The only thing we had to do was go through security which was a piece of cake.
After going through security, we went to our Delta terminal to sit for awhile. It was time for us to board our flight & I wasn't nervous. I didn't even take Benadril or chew gum. I even sat at a window seat & it didn't bother me one bit. Is my fear of flying, over?
The trip being over didn't hit me until we landed at LGA in Queens, NY & we had to pick up our own luggage at the luggage pick up area. The Disney magic was no longer there & we decided to take a cab home. When we came home it looked strange being there. I laid on our bed for awhile & cried a little bit. I really wanted to turn around & go back to FL.
We decided to go out & eat at our neighborhood restaurant & it was cold outside. I think it was the weather talking but I told Louis that I didn't think NYC is the place for me anymore & I want to live in FL where the weather is nice all year long.
At this time I was feeling really sad & with a few phone calls from Jim & Steven to cheer me up & with a few days I would be feeling much better.
Maybe sometime during the Summer I will write a synopsis of what everything is & means but right now I will just post the high/low lights of our trip. I will also write an update on how everyone is doing.
My highlights of my trip were:
Seeing Pop Century Resort for the very first time.
Getting sunburned arms, hands & face.
Getting a Happy Birthday & Anniversary wish from people almost everyday.
Walking with blisters on my feet.
Meeting Peter Pan & Wendy for the second time.
Getting on rides & seeing attractions I didn't see & do in December.
Seeing British Invasion & Off-Kilter over & over again.
Seeing Illuminations almost every night instead of Wishes.
Getting drink refills every night
Jim having me try an alcoholic drink from France.
Jim taking us to Celebration to look around.
Jim helping me get over my fear of water crafts by going on a Sea Raycer with me.
Watching two bunnies fight, then two ducks chasing them & then a cat comes along to make the ducks fly right over me & scaring me.
The Entertainment at Whispering Canyon Cafe & Jim getting a third ice tea refill in a huge canning jar with a huge straw. I wish I had videotaped it. Arghhhhh.
Becoming friends with a duck that liked to quack.
Waking up the first morning & having breakfast while a Mama duck & her ducklings come along.
Knowing later on that Miley Cyrus was in The Magic Kingdom at the same time I was & I didn't know it.
My Low lights of the trip were:
Never went on Tower Of Terror the whole trip.
Had a Disney bathing suit & never got to wear it.
Didn't see Wishes or Spectromagic.
Never tried more drinks around the world.
Disappointed myself after having a full day at Magic Kingdom & then going to EPCOT to see Arlo Guthrie & couldn't keep up with Jim. I was so disappointed that I didn't want to disappoint Jim.
Never went to Comedy Club Warehouse or Adventurers Club.
Ghiradelli's being closed the whole trip.
Now I will update you on how everyone is doing.
Jim didn't get the job he wanted but they made up a job for him so now he is in the process of getting ready to move out of his townhouse in NJ so he can move to FL. We are very happy for him. Clap Clap.
Jamie is no longer depressed and sad. She has a full Summer ahead of her.
Louis just booked a hotel at All Star Music for November 17- December 1st.
This means we will book the restaurants we want to eat in & try. There are some we won't eat in this time. We also have to look into cheap plane fares because we loved using the Magical Express. This makes Jamie a happy girl because she gets to try some of the low lights.
