Default Question about Dining Plan

Can the dining plan only be added on if you purchase a room and ticket package? For instance if you bought 10 day non-expiration tickets and did not use all of them during your first trip could you book a room only at a later date to use the rest of your tickets and add on the dining plan? We have left over tickets and booked a room at POP but I don't think we can add the dining plan because we did not purchase tickets with our room. Is this correct? Thanks!

You have to book as a Magic Your Way package plan to include or add the Dining Plan. Or be a DVC member. You don't have to buy room tickets for your length of stay, though. You can buy a package and only purchase tickets for the days you need them. The Dining Plan, however, is for the entire length of stay, credits determined by number of nights staying. You would have to price it out to see if it's worth it to book this way.

I'm going in September for free dining and have an annual pass...we had to purchase one day ticket for both persons in the room...and then we were allowed the free dining. I plan to take both tickets and turn them it against two 10 day non-expiring tickets. So it'll work out for me to do this way.

Please check with MJ they will be able to better help you and explain all the in-and-outs of the dining plan.

wow, this is the first I have heard this... I have 5 day park hopper and just need another 1-2 day pass... so I can just buy 1-2 day tickets and get the dining plan for our length of stay(6 nights)??? Hmm... maybe it is worth it for me....

I am renting points from a DVC member and thus was told if I wanted tickets and dining to do it at check in..... need to check into this a bit more.

thanks.
