BCV is really nice. It's pool is fantastic and the rooms are nice and spacious. My close second would have to be the Boardwalk!

I've only stayed in BCV and OKW. My vote is for BCV.

Favorite DVC Resorts
The Boardwalk is our favorite... for now. We are staying at AKL Concierge in May so that may change. Our second is VWL and then the Beach Club. The Beach Club is great on our hot summer days down here and the VWL we enjoy usually in January when its cool here and it really seems like the great northwest. SSR, OKW,are also fun when I include golf our stays.
HHI and Vero are great for a change. Last summer at HHI was a delightful trip. Vero is an hour away and it serves as a nice Sat night retreat.

I suspect I will be solidly in the minority, but SSR is my favorite.
We don't have children, other than our beagle. Many of the hassles that are often associated with SSR are mitigated for two adults that find being a little away from the hustle and bustle a relaxing change of pace.
Although I do love the atmosphere of the Boardwalk and the Beach Club.

Once again, I am the only one with the odd tastes. I put VWL for mine. It's so calming there.

BCV for the look, the location, and the pool. AKL is a close second for the feel and the animals. That being said, they are all great in their own way.

best DVC
I love the beach club villas. They are so nice. They have their own pool and then if you want to go to main pool. it is right there too. It is also very close to the snack bar and store so you can grab a quick lunch or snack.
The wilderness lodge villas are pretty incredible too. You could not go wrong with eithr one.

I always choose BCV because its the only way I can swim in the BC pool.
I also enjoy the Boardwalk too - due to its location next to Epcot.
I've stayed at Wilderness Lodge once - found the transportation there a little lacking - but its an "OK" resort.
I have stayed away from OKW and SSR - due to the fact that you have to take a bus every where. They are sometimes so unreliable.
I'd like to stay at AKL once - yes - I know its all bus - but I've read that that resort's buses are more reliable and frequent than the other resorts (have no idea if this is really true).
And I can't wait for Contemporary Villas!!!!!

Unfortunately, I can't just pick one. Each DVC resort is different and provides a different experience and various pros and cons.
Thus, I have four favorites: - Wilderness Lodge Villas
- Beach Club Villas
- Animal Kingdom Villas
- BoardWalk Villas

BCV is easily our favorite right now. We did take a tour of the AKL models late last year and loved them. Just can't beat the location and themeing of Beach Club.

Seriously?
I find Saratoga overcrowded, insufficient in Dining, and packed with Northeasterners.....and being a Northeasterner....that's who I'm trying to get away from

Honestly? I like 'em all!
Although I'll admit I haven't stayed at all of them in the DVC accomodations, I have stayed at most. For the ones where I have not, I've stayed in the regular resort rooms, so I know the resort pretty well.
If forced to pick a favorite, though, I'd have to go with BCV. I just love the Beach Club!

LOL...We do not have that opinion at all.
I do agree the dining is an issue but, we have three kids so we eat some meals in our room. We also go over to DTD and eat there.
I guess we should be happy there are lots of different resorts and experiences!
Btw...I am one of the oddballs that did not care for BWV at all.

I actually don't like the layout of Boardwalk at all.....
but the location and walking distance to 2 parks outweighs that....
Beach club is my favorite....the pool...beaches and cream....cape may is my favorite character breakfast...and a 5 minute walk to EPCOT make it unbeatable...in my opinion
wilderness and animal kingdom are close seconds

I concur on all accounts. Love Cape May for b'fast, love the location, love the resort.
But alas, for us, BWV is a close second.
For a resort with the sheer size of SSR, you'd think there would be more dining options - how about a sit-down breakfast?!?!?
