Welcome! Unfortunately they're currently saying our current great spring weather may disappear by the weekend.

What kind of place do you want to stay in? The Brown Palace is a historic hotel (formerly owned by the Unsinkable Molly Brown) downtown. Downtown also has lots of Marriotts, etc. Hotel Monaco is also nice, plus the brand-new Ritz Carlton (right across the street from the Greyhound station, strangely). You could also look at something in Golden or the vicinity (off of I-70) to be convenient to head up into the mountains.

What interests you?

Art museum has a new addition (the architecture is almost more interesting than the contents)
Museum of Nature & Science
Denver Zoo
Molly Brown House
Colorado History Museum
Cherry Creek Shopping Center
LoDo (lower downtown) has lots of bars and restaurants (plus a company offers audio walking tours)
Downtown Denver Aquarium
Tour Invesco Field & see Colorado Sports Hall of Fame

The Colorado Avalanche are playing New Jersey Saturday afternoon.

Coors is located in Golden, just twenty or so miles west of Denver, and they have brewery tours. Also in that area, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and park, Dinosaur Ridge, and Buffalo Bill's grave.

The Oxford Hotel is nice and it's right downtown. The 16th Street Mall is a pedestrian street running from one end of town to the capitol. There are some shops and restaurants along the way. If you want to go out for a drink, I highly recommend the Cruise Room. It's a martini bar with an art deco theme. It's in the back of the Oxford Hotel, has no windows, and no exterior sign, and it conveniently opened the day after prohibition ended!

We like the Grand Hyatt in Downtown Denver and the Embassy Suites. The Embassy is right across from Coors field, if you care to see the Rockies play. The Hyatt is right in the middle of downtown and within walking distance to many nice areas, including the Denver Mint.
We like Denver, it is a nice city.
