Nov. 6, 1959 – The Walt Disney Presents TV series aired the episode “Perilous Assignment.”
Nov. 6, 1960 – The Walt Disney Presents TV series aired the episode “Zorro: Adios El Cuchillo.”
Nov. 6, 1987 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Hello Again” was released.
Nov. 6, 1996 – Disney’s Educational film “Waging Peace” aired on The Disney Channel.
Nov. 6, 1997 – The 10th Annual Walt Disney World “Teddy Bear and Doll Convention began at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at WDW.
Nov. 6, 1998 – The Disney/Touchstone Pictures film “The Waterboy” was released.
Nov. 6, 1999 – The Annie Awards were presented at the Alex Theater in Glendale, Ca. Winners included Eric Daniels for his work on Disney’s “Tarzan” and Walt Disney Animation for “The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride.” Among the 3 winners for the Winsor McCay Award was Ernie Con Pederson, a pioneer who worked on many projects including Disney’s “Man in Space” 1955 TV episode.
Nov. 6, 2001 – Disney released the animated “Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse,” the live-action comedy “Santa Who?” starring Leslie Nielsen, and the animated “Recess Christmas: Miracle on Third Street” all on VHS and DVD.
Nov. 6, 2001 – Disney President and Chief Operating Officer Robert A. Iger announced that the Walt Disney Co. had acquired The Baby Einstein Company, the award winning creator of highly innovative media products, toys and books for babies and toddlers. (The Baby Einstein Company founded in 1996, develops and sells products that expose babies to various forms of human expression such as language, poetry, music, art, and science, through ways that are nurturing and fun.
Nov. 6, 2004 – WDW workers spent the morning cleaning 7-miles of Florida’s Canaveral National Seashore. The beach cleanup, sponsored by the Ocean Conservatory and Keep Brevard Beautiful, involved more than 350 Disney employees wearing “volunt-EARS” t-shirts.
