Default ticket question..

dont know where to put this question...
figured here seemed like a good spot..
i know you can always upgrade a park ticket at disney..
but can i downgrade?
i got a 4 day base ticket...but looks like we will probably only need 3 days..
and i rather not waste money in getting the non expiring put on the tickets..
i much rather get some money back since we wont need it!..
so is it possible?
or is it one of those things..that i should just ask when i get there next week?
thanx for the help!!!

It is my understanding that while Disney is happy to upgrade you ( = more money), they do not offer the option of downgrading once you've purchased your tickets.

Correct... If the cost of the "downgrade" exceeds the cost of the original ticket, they will usually allow it. If money needs to be given back to the guests, chances are it's not going to happen.

For example, if you wanted to go from a 4 day base ticket to a 3 day with park hopping. That would probably be allowed.

But, going from a 4 day base to a 3 day base doesn't make much sense to Disney. They want you to spend MORE time, not less in the parks.

I'm not sure how many of you are going, but $9.00 (plus tax) difference between a 3 day and a 4 day base ticket isn't enough to warrant much of a concern in my book. It would cost you 5 times that to make them non-expiration tickets (same additional cost as the park hopper option.)
