What are the chances?!?!
Hey all-
The Mrs. and I got back from the World about a week ago and I have been slowly catching back up on the posts. It's kind of funny how much I really missed reading all of your ideas and musings...so I guess that's one of (the very few) good things about being back.
Anyways, on the the real reason for this post. I just thought it was amazing that on our trip to the world, my brother and his wife won a dream (dream fast passes) one day AND on our last day at the world, the Mrs and I also won a dream (limo ride to the airport.) I think its pretty cool and fantastic that out of a party of two couples, both sets won a separate dream. I mean, what are the odds of that happening?!?!

Not very likely. We'll be there on the 25th with another family, keeping my fingers crossed that we'll win a dream.

DH and I actually won 2 "dreams' on our 5 day visit mid September:
1. We won Dream lanyards with 2 pins on each of them on the last day of our vacation
2. We won a "Family of the Day" certificate at our resort with 2 congratulatory voice mail messages in our room as well as a magnetic picture/frame of the Castle on the day we arrived. :mickey

I wouldn't think that chances would be very high. When we went, I went not expecting to win any dreams. Yet while we were there, my girls were chosen to be rope carriers in the MGM parade, and my family was chosen to be grand marshals of the family fun day parade. So, maybe multiple dreams happen more often than we think!

That is cool! It doesn't happen often, as many guests go home with no dream. That will be us...
But.. Don't hog the dreams!

I think the odds of that happening are pretty small and that you guys are very lucky! Good for you!
I hope that someone in our party of 8 gets some type of dream prize when we are visiting in Dec. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It's part of DME. CM's will pick a family to ride in a limo either to or from the airport. It could be a first visit, a celebration of some type. You never know. I see it all the time at the airport in the morning.
It really brings a smile to my face when I see the shocked expression on some of the kids (adults, too) faces when they realize they are being escorted to a stretch limo instead of a DME bus. Too cool

This is "the Mrs" referred to in the original post. Pretty sure it was just dumb luck- we weren't celebrating anything. We had been hanging out inside in the nice air conditioning of Pop's lobby and then decided we should probably head out to the DME stop. It was just luck with the timing. I wasn't even crying or anything at that point (yes, I cry when I have to leave Disney). I still can't believe our luck! Plus we've won twice via mail (pin & lanyard set and the dream ears!)!
You can see a pic of us with our certificate and limo by clicking: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/100_2617.jpg

Pretty amazing luck.
I was there in May but got nothing and now I'm going in two weeks. I better get picked this time. I'm an annual passholder, I deserve to win a dream!!!
Just kidding, of course, but it would certainly be nice.

Stupid Question: How does one win a "dream?" That is, are you eligible to win one just by buying a pass to get into one of the parks...or are you eligible by staying in a Disney Resort....?

There are no stupid questions here at Intercot.
You can win a dream either at random within the parks, or you can mail in a postcard to enter by mail. The following link will give you more info. http://www.intercot.com/discussion/s...d.php?t=116867
Good luck.

Wow! How lucky that so many families won not once, but twice! During a single trip!
Our family went last March.... no dreams.
We're returning in February and are so excited that the celebration has been extended... maybe this will be our trip to win... but I'm not holding my breath!
