My Dad - Also Mike (65)
My Mom - Sandra (60s)
Today was our last full day at the world and we had some last minute things we wanted to get done.
The morning looked nice so we decided to head to Blizzard Beach for the day.

My parents weren't into another water park so they decided to take a bus to Epcot and meet us back at the hotel later to go to dinner. Mike and I headed to BB around 9:45 and there was already a big line out in front of the park. I'm not sure why Typhoon Lagoon will let you enter certain parts of the park early but BB has you wait outside. We were let in right at 10:00 and found ourself a spot. Really not a lot of people coming in, I guess they knew something we didn't.

We took advantage of the lazy river which I think is the better of the two parks. We then headed to some of the raft slides and rode on a two person raft. Those both were fun. We were in line for the chair lift when it closed down for thunder/lightening. We decided to head to Lottawatta Lodge for lunch. Thank goodness we got a table under an umbrella because it started to pour. We shared our table with a couple of local girls who were just there for the day. After lunch it stopped raining so we went into the wave pool for a little while. They let you use tubes in the wave pool now so that's kinda fun to bob around in a tube. I wasn't feeling too good by that point so we left around 1:00, plus the skies still didn't look real good.
We arrived back at POR and while I did one more load of laundry

DH went for a dip in the quiet pool. I had a nice time just sitting by the pool enjoying the grounds.
We met mom and dad back at the rooms and got ready for our 6:00 pm ADR at the Concourse Steakhouse. After dinner we decided to head to DTD to get our last minute shopping in and DH was looking for a money clip as a gift for his boss.
We went into Once Upon A Toy where Mike is a master at getting as many potato head parts in the box as humanly possible. I don't need the bodies anymore so every year we get new parts. They had some new costumes that were so cool. I just lay out what I want and he finds a way to fit them in the box.
We went to the Pearl Factory because my mom had wanted to look at the pick a pearl. She had done one earlier that day in Japan at Epcot and got a nice little white pearl. The funny back story is when I was about 12 or 13 we were in FL visiting my grandparents and we went to a touristy place called the Shell Factory. Well we had picked a white pearl the year before and my mom wanted another one. She told me to pick and then said, pick me a black one. I picked one and low and behold a huge black pearl comes out of it. My mom had a ring made out of it. So now she thinks somehow I'm lucky when it comes to picking pearls. Anyhoo, when we're at DTD she says the same thing, pick one for her. We had just seen someone pick one which was white. I pick one and the lady gasps and out comes a blue pearl which is the second rarest pearl in the world, AFTER a black pearl!! Too funny!
We then headed to

Goofy's Candy Co to use the rest of our snack credits. We had 8 credits left so we got four pieces of fudge, two mickey rice crispy treats, a carmel apple, and three pretzels dipped in chocolate. Everything there is so wonderful and mostly a snack credit so we got the best stuff.
DH wanted to stop at WOD to see if they had a money clip. We ended up buying a few key chains and I got a purse I had been eyeing, but no money clip.
We headed back to POR for packing and bed. Dad and Mike went to the lounge and had a few beers while mom and I watched tv. I of couse slept horrible and we had to get up early to get things done and make it to the airport.
Up next: Day 8 Final day and back home
