Disney Rain Ponchos?
Hi! It's a been a couple of years since I've been to Disney World. I'm wondering if they still sell the yellow rain ponchos in the park with Mickey on the back. If not, what are the rain ponchos like now?

I was just at MK last week and the ponchos I saw everyone wearing was the clear plastic but instead of having Mickey on the back like it used to, it's got all the Disney park names listed.
It would seem they have gone to a generic poncho for all the parks worldwide.

I'm so glad they went to the clear ones, DH has horror stories of trying to find his parents in a sea of yellow ponchos!

We got some last week. Adult sizes have a castle & "walt disney world" on the back. Kids sizes have an old fashioned Mickey.
I believe they ran about $7 for kids and $11 for adults. The sides on the adult ones ripped but the kid ones didn't. A kid size will cover a double stroller. You can get them anywhere, including your hotel gift shop.

Yikes! I still have two from my last trip that are in good condition. I will make sure to hang on to them for next time.

Yup...the ones I bought last year were clear as others have mentioned. It makes sense why they would switch to clear from yellow. I heard plenty of horror stories on here about the sea of yellow ponchos during rainstorms.
I kinda like the clear. Gives it a fashionable look that doesn't leave you feeling like you need to find some fish or direct traffic.
However, I do agree the old look was cute and provokes the memory of Disney.
Although, Is it just me or are the old yellow ones thicker than these new clear ones? I saw a woman at a concert a few weeks ago wearing one and it just looked like it was a higher quality. Maybe I am crazy....

Erm, a bit off on the prices there.
It's actually $7 for adults, and $6 for children. Umbrella's come to $10.01 with taxes. Both ponchos are clear, with the Disney Parks logo that features all the locations of the parks. There is a small A an C on it to show which is adults and childs.
Trust me, I sell enough of them.

When DH & I were in AK in March we bought our ponchos outside the Kali Rapids ride. There was a kiosk set up there. They were clear with Mickey Mouse on the back and it was $7.

yeah... $6 for kids, $7 for adults (that is with tax)-- both are identical with a C or A to designate size. clear with snap sides, WDW logo on back with park sites listed on bottom.

I was there two weeks ago. If you want to find the clear poncho with Mickey, even in adult sizes, try the store in the China pavillion at Epcot. While dining at Nine Dragons on a rainy day, I saw many adults unfolding brand new clear Mickey ponchos instead of the general Disney Parks poncho sold everywhere else. I guess China has a lot of older stock. The store is also a good spacious place to run to when it pours if you are on that side of World Showcase.

FYI, I want to clarify "clear" here to everyone. They are white/opaque not "clear", as in NOT see-through. Sure, you can see some color from your clothes underneath, but they are by no means clear.
Made a BIG difference with my DD last year at MGM - she didn't like not being albe to see out when I covered her stroller with a poncho. I now have a clear, see-through rain cover for her stroller (my stroller, not a WDW one) and all is well in her world.
Just wanted to 'clear' that up for everyone.
