Anyone watching Mad Men?

I've seen all the episodes so far. Very interesting and often sad.

Was it really that bad for women in that era?! Holy Girdles, Batman! I wouldn't have survived it.

I watched for about 20 minutes and got pretty bored with it. I don't think I'll be returning.

My Mom worked for a corporate executive in the early '60's and she loved it, until she quit to raise us kids. He and his wife even became good friends with my parents and I remember him as a wonderful man. Of course he died from smoking related issues in his 60's.
