opinions please
I think this will work, what do you think? I just purchased our air fare for October. We arrive Oct 25 at 5 pm, taking DME so we should be at our resort by about 6:30. We want to do MNSSHP that night (starts at 7pm), my only fear is if our flight is delayed. I know that the admission tickets need to be purchased in advance, if we were delayed could we exchange for another night?

No, I don't think you can reschedule at your convenience. They may be willing to help you out but I wouldn't count on it for a special event. I wouldn't risk scheduling the party for the night I fly in, but chances are you will make it if you do. Best wishes with it.

I think you would be cutting it too close. I would try for another night if possible.

I don't think I would chance it either. Worst case scenario: Your flight could be delayed, ME could be delayed, check in could be delayed and now it's 9pm (or later) and you still have to get to the MK for the party. I would schedule the MNSSHP for another night if possible and not stress about getting there on time the day of arrival (who wants to start vacation stressed out?!?!?!?) MNSSHP is so much fun you should get to enjoy all of it.

I agree with all above posters--try for another night and relax your first night at the resort or Downtown Disney!

I would also suggest scheduling for a night other than your arrival night.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. That said, Disney will occasionally help you out (thought they have no obligation to do so), depending upon circumstances. A few years back, I came down with a miserable head cold (on vacation - at Disney) and it was at its worst the day we were scheduled to attend the Christmas party. We were allowed to exchange our tickets for another day. We couldn't exchange for our first choice of dates as that day was sold out. We ended up needing to rearrange some our other plans to attend the party on the alternate day but greatly appreciated that Disney helped us out as they did!

I belive you are cutting it close as well. What I would do is, not buy your tickets in advance and if you happen to get there in enough time, you can always purchase them at the front gate.
