Keys to the Kingdom Tour
We are thinking about doing The Keys to the Kingdom tour this trip, but a little unsure because of the cost. Is it really worth $60 each? It seems like an awesome tour, but I don't know if we want to spend $120 and 5 hours of our trip on it. Any input?

I have read many many many reviews of this tour, and every single one is glowing! We are taking it ourselves for the first time in 54 days (wahoo! countdown!)
Keep in mind that in the 4.5 hours, you not only get the full tour, including backstage visits to the Utilidors and the parade floats, you get front of the line service to three rides, and lunch! So the price is excellent for all you get.
Note that with the Haunted Mansion under construction, they have put It's a Small World as the third front-of-the-line ride (much to my dismay, as Haunted Mansion will be down until 3 days after I return home! WAH!)
There are lots of reviews online, if you Google for them!

I can tell hands down that this tour is worth the money. We did this last year and we're still talking about it to this day. I would definately recommend it!

If you have a Disney Visa you can get a 20% discount, which brings the price down to $48. Me and my DS are going to do this tour next month and I am really looking forward to it. This is the first trip that he has been old enough to go (must be at least 16).

Worth The Money
I took the tour last August with a great CM named Andromeda. ( Hard name to forget) The heat was brutal and there was alot of outdoor walking; so bring water. When I took the tour we only got to ride two attractions, ( HM & JC ). Did I miss out on something?

You can find all the info about the tours in the Info Central here on Intercot. You can also get a discount if you are CAA or AAA members. The tour was great and Claire was such a fun guide.

worth the money
We splurged on this tour on an anniversary trip and it was well worth the money!! You get to see behind the scenes which normally doesn't happen, plus you learn a lot of cool facts! We still talk about it all the time!

Here you go.
I've taken this tour and enjoyed it very much. The attractions, as well as the number you go on, do change based on your tour guide, how well your group is moving along, and ride schedules.

We took the tour last year and my wife enjoyed it so much, she wants to see it again. The guides give you tons of Disney info and explain a lot of the whys and hows of the Magic Kingdom. Ever wonder whos names are on the windows on Mainstreet? They will tell you. Why the park is in a circular pattern? Just ask. How do they get all the trash out of the park without ever seeing anyone pick up the trash cans? You'll see that too. Great tour.

I went on this tour several years ago and it was incredible! Learning so many inside things regarding WDW was a major highlight for my family. Even now, years later, we'll still walk by one of the camouflaged CM doors in a park and point it out to each other.
It's worth the money for sure, but only if you're willing to part with the time. We were there for 8 days that time so spending 5 hours on a tour was not a major loss to ride-time. For a shorter trip it might be a bigger deal.
Go, go go! It's a boatload of fun.

I really enjoyed this tour but have to admit that I learned nothing new. Of course, I grew up in Winter Park and had friends who worked in the various park. I also like reading about the development of the parks. You will learn nothing on this tour that you couldn't find in the Imagineers Guide or on the internet, but it's neat to see the Utilidors, trash pipes, VIP waiting area at the HM, etc., if you've never seen them.
I have only been on this tour once (nearly 2 years ago). We rode HM, PP, and JC. Our tour lasted 45 minutes longer than scheduled. Our guide was fantastic!!
If you have an AP, you can get a discount on this tour.

I don't think it has been mentioned, but if you are planning on doing the tour, call and get a reservation. I did this yesterday through the WDW Dine number. They took my credit card information, but I can cancel up to 48 hours prior to the reservation. A few things the CM told me was that lunch was included and would be at the Columbia Harbour House and that no cameras or backpacks were permitted. Also, by using my Disney VISA, the cost per person was only $48. Considering that includes lunch, that's really not a bad deal.

Is the visa discount better than the ap one and can you get more than one ticket with it?
