? about the end of the Contract

We're currently in the process of buying a BVC resale (yippee!). My question is-- when the contract expires in 2042, does anyone know if we will be given first option to renew? It won't affect me much since I'll be 82 then, but it would be nice to renew for my grandkids and great grandkids. Please let me know if anyone has looked into that question. Thanks.

No one knows for sure, as Disney hasn't said anything.

Yeah, really nothing is known about what will happen at the end of the DVC contracts. The points revert back to Disney ownership, but whether or not we'll have the opportunity to renew or not remains to be seen.

I am guessing that we'll have an opportunity to buy back - all of those contracts are going to run out at the same time. They'll probably spend the last 5 or 10 years with buy back incentives to get people in on round two... by then, the DVC will probably have 25 resorts that expand from Jacksonville to Tampa...
