Vero and Hilton Head

For those of you that have been to both resorts...What is there to do close by that is walking distance? Just don't know if renting a car is needed or not.
Also are there any activities at either resort?

Sorry, I do not have any info on Hilton Head but I am sure someone will be around soon that does.

I've only been to Vero, but I would recommend renting a car. There isn't anything immediately close by the resort except for residential properties. You really do need a car if you want to venture offsite.

At HH, you can walk to the Shelter Cove Shopping Center. There are a few places to eat there and some interesting shops. The resort does provide transportation to the outings that are offered. I could see going there without a car, but we always drive.
