Apr. 7, 1995 – The Disney film “A Goofy Movie”, which featured the voices of Bill Farmer (as Goofy), Jim Cummings, Jo Anne Worley, and Joey Lawrence.
Apr. 7, 1995 – The “Diamond Horseshoe Revue” attraction returned to Frontierland replacing “Diamond Horseshoe Jamboree” in the Magic Kingdom at WDW. (Closed Feb. 1, 2003 and would be replaced with “Goofy’s Country Dancin’ Jamboree”)
Apr. 7, 1996 – “Walt Disney World’s Happy Easter Parade,” hosted by Regis Philben and Joan Lunden, aired on TV.
Apr. 7, 2001 – Disney’s House of Mouse aired the episode “Pluto Saves the Day.”
Apr. 7, 2001 – The “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – Play It!” attraction opened in Disney-MGM Studios at WDW.
Apr. 7, 2002 – The Disney Vacation Club 10th Anniversary Cruise set sail.
Apr. 7, 2003 – The National Association of Broadcasters inducted the Disney Anthology Television Series into the NAB Hall of Fame. The Disney Anthology included “Disneyland”, “Walt Disney Presents”, “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color”, “Disney’s Wonderful World”, “Walt Disney”, “The Disney Sunday Movie”, “The Magical World of Disney”, and “The Wonderful World of Disney”.
Apr. 7, 2004 – Roy E. Disney and his wife Patty toured the new $22.5 million “Roy E. Disney Center of Performing Arts” at the National Hispanic Cultural Center & Foundation in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Disney’s have contributed $1 million to help fund the construction of the 700-seat theater.
Apr. 7, 2005 – A themed airplane adorned with the image of Tinker Bell on the fuselage and golden Mickey Mouse ears on the tail from Alaska Airlines soared into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The bright blue Boeing 737-400 named the “Magic of Disneyland” celebrated the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney’s Anaheim park.
Apr. 7, 2005 – It was reported that 35 nonprofit organizations from 5 Central Florida counties received a collective $600,000 in awards from the Walt Disney Resort as part of Disney’s Helping Kids Shine Program.
