Complex ticket question

I think I know the answer to this, but want it confirmed by someone else.

Say I purchase a 10-day park hopper ticket today but don't use it until more than a year from now. During that time, ticket prices increase.

After my first day of using the pass, I want to upgrade it to non-expiring, but the no-expiration price for the ticket has also increased from the time I originally purchased the ticket.

I believe I will NOT have to pay for the increase in park hopper ticket price, since I already used a day of the ticket, but I WILL have to pay the increased price for the non-expiration upgrade.

Is this correct?

Yes, this is correct.

You will have to pay the current price for any features you add to the ticket, but otherwise the ticket will be good to use as usual.

Once used, it's current ticket pricing difference. If unused, it's current final ticket pricing minus original ticket cost.
