I was worried that it wouldn't work out because it seems there are fewer resale listings suddenly and I'd started to really fall in love with the idea of BLT. It was beginning to feel like home. And now, yay, it is! And of course then you catch the fever of wanting to try all the DVC resorts. We'll be closing in about 15 days.

Sherri, that's awesome! As others have said, welcome home! If you want to book at the 7 month mark, I would book online the morning your 7 month window opens, especially during Food and Wine and the holiday season. As I said, I have always had success doing that booking our Food and Wine accommodations.

I made my presentation to my husband last night, and he was surprisingly agreeable. We crunched numbers and decided a resale was our best bet to get the points we want at a reasonable cost (including dues through the years). So now just the waiting.

Congrats! We just wrapped the same process as first time resales buyers. It is indeed a big savings, but it depends on how much you plan to go. Certainly those that plan to go every year will save the most. We usually go every two to three, but it is still a huge savings over the life of the time share with normal inflation. Good luck!
